Soooooo.....Remember all those times when every time you log in to Facebook and you see a million pictures of all the girls you used to babysit taking kissy face pictures of themselves and posting them for EVERYONE to see. They get pretty good at their model poses, right? Well, I never did that as a teenager, or as a child, or as a young adult, or ever....until TODAY.
I just want to show you my Halloween costume I wore to our ward service project/party this evening. That is all, and I will never be doing this again. WARNING: I am awkward, so awkward. Feel free to laugh because I am laughing too. {Note: My hair looks awful because this was after standing outside in the wind for two hours.}
Please guess who I am. The last one is my favorite. Is it any wonder I am 25 and SINGLE. haha. I am dying laughing. :) I need to call up some teenager for some self portrait lessons!

Hey there! I don't really have a whole lot to post about, but I don't want to leave the super negative post below as what people (all three of you) see when they look at my blog!
Things have been going pretty well. Work, studying, and sleep...the usual...keep me very busy. I am currently working on the Interim Assessment on the FAP Modules to get my A.S.A. These modules are the last thing I have to do get my A.S.A...to become a credentialed actuary. Yeah, baby! I am READY! Please come to my A.S.A party when I get it. :) :) :)
I went to Austin again this past weekend because Daniel came into town. It was good to see all my family as always. The drive always kills me; four hours of bumper to bumper traffic gets me a little agitated! It was fun seeing Austin with him as well as relaxing at Jonathan and Wendy's house.
Lastly, here's a video tour of my apartment I think I promised I would post something. Enjoy. :) One day I'll buy bedding. ANDIT'SNOTWORKINGSOIWILLPOSTITLATER.

Summer is Here!
Summer is here, and it is HOTTTT! Too hot. Here is a quick rundown of what I have been up to post EXAM C:
First, I jetted off to Colorado (as mentioned in my last post) where I got to eat DELICIOUS food like this:
OH MAN! My mouth is watering right now. I need this...right now...soooooo goooood.
Second, I went to Austin to visit this little missy...
While I was there I ate this taco...
and drank this slushie...believe me it was hot and nasty outside...
(this picture is sideways...sorry....not gonna fix it) ... but don't worry, I didn't get this slushie...
..I dare you to try it...a Pickle Slushie. yum....kidding...
Third, I got a new bedroom set yesterday. Here is a sneak peek. I love it...
Last, I went to about 30 minutes of church today...Why? Because it was on fire...
The sacrament meeting speakers were let off the hook! Lucky them :)

Happy 4th!
Hey there fellow bloggers! It has been a while and I definitely have updates on my life. First off, I moved! It is great, awesome, fantastic, wonderful, splendid and any other positive adjective you can think of. Really. I love it! I will be posting pictures soon....as soon as I get my new bed. I bought a new bed! Woohoo! No more kid bed :)
Second, I am sitting here on my parents' couch. Yep, I made the trek up to Colorado. I head back tomorrow :( It has been wonderful to spend time with the fam. Good to get away from the suffocating hold of the humidity in Dallas that sucks the desire to live right out of you for a couple days. In fact, there have been a few times while I have been here that I have felt the need for a jacket. Yes, I may be a wimp.
Third, I am in the picture below. can you guess who I am? {hint: I am the fun one.}

Recent Happenings....
Ok, ok, ok.
So I am done with my exam!
Finally!
It was really hard; I thought I failed.
I passed. :)
No more exams for a while (as in at least a year).
I am soooooooooooooo excited!!!!!
This actually opens a lot of doors career wise...so it is wonderful...not that I'm looking for a new job...but I wouldn't be opposed to it...ahem...anyways....That's our little secret, ok?
My exam was on Thursday. Saturday morning I woke up to this little treasure.
I am wondering why he didn't take the Book of Mormon sitting on the passenger seat...the only other thing in the car...weird.

My exam was on Thursday. Saturday morning I woke up to this little treasure.
I filed a police report...not sure what good that even did...they just filed it away. Anyways, the police officer told me to wear gloves when I cleaned up the thief's blood that was in my car...isn't that gross?...I guess he cut himself on something. You can see the blood in the picture above...there was also some on door, on the passenger seat, and by the gear shift. SICK. Apparently the guy wedged something through my passenger side door to get in. PUNK.
So what did this person get for all this trouble?...my thousand dollar gps/stereo/dvd player combo...yes, this is completely lame. This was actually already installed in the car by the previous owner when I bought it...so that makes it a little trickier with the whole insurance thing...I took it to a dealership afterwards because my airbag light was on after I tried to drive it...my airbags were unhooked when the guy was so carefully taking my gps (he left the knob in my car...I really hope it works well for him), so if I get in a crash, the airbags won't go off...yikes. Please no crashes. They said I would need to get a new dash because he broke some things in there too...:/
Oh yeah, he also got my Taylor Swift CD. He should listen to song number six.
I am wondering why he didn't take the Book of Mormon sitting on the passenger seat...the only other thing in the car...weird.
I know this is just stuff. I am actually not devastated about this happening. I am, however, completely freaked out. I walked in to my place last night when it was dark...my imagination was KILLING me. So lastly...I am moving....as soon as possible....That was already in the plans...but it's definitely speeding up the process. :)

CSI
You know you watch too many crime solving television shows when the neighbor's porch light is on across the hall for the first time EVER (well, since you moved in three months ago) and the first thing you think is that they must have been murdered and the killer tried to make everything seem normal by turning the porch light on. Of course I am home alone tonight!!! Gah!
p.s. I was going to post a super fly photo of CSI, but the photo uploader is not working...sigh...

Rain, Rain Go Away!
Ok, the title to this post is a lie!!! We need the rain here in the BIG D! And last night it came...5 inches in 24 hours. I had to ford a raging river to get to my car this morning that was parked on the other side of the street. Thank goodness for rain boots! It came up past my ankles so I would say we got some rain. :)
Let's see, what else has been going on in my life?!? Well, I went home for Christmas. I got to spend almost two wonderful weeks with my family. I got to see every single one of them too, including my grandpa. Which hasn't happened since I can't remember when. It was good to get away! My luggage did get lost on the way back...for a very long five days...but it all made it to me safely, so all is well.
.
Once I got back to Texas, I turned around and took a final for a time series class required through work. Ok, I basically had to cram for a week and a half straight to get ready for it, but that was my own fault for not studying sooner. I finished up the time series project today for the class and sent it in. Hopefully, that little class will be out of the way before I know it!!!
So with finishing up one thing for work, comes the next thing. Studying for the next actuarial exam!! Oh yeah BABY!!! This is my last of the preliminary exams...EXAM C....supposedly the hardest, the most material, the one that will kill you....so wish me luck...so if I never post again on this blog, you now know that I died.
On that happy thought, I took a quick trip to Austin this weekend. I think I was there for less than 24 hours, but it was fun. I am sorry this post is so boring....I am falling asleep myself just writing it.

Throwback
This is my proof that at one point in time the blonde in my hair was actually natural...because SOME OF YOU don't believe me. :P Please excuse the double chin and pudgy elbows and pudgy wrists...and pudgy everything. And yes, I still love shoes...and yes, I was very fashionable at the time.

Greetings
Hello, my fine friends. Merry Christmas!!!! I hope you are all getting excited Christmas; I know I am super excited to go home.
The other day while perusing the internet, I stumbled upon this quote:
The other day while perusing the internet, I stumbled upon this quote:
"What if you woke up only with the things you thanked God for yesterday?"
Holy. Smokes. This has really made me think...am I being as grateful as I should be? Honestly, I am given so much....why am I so dang ungrateful. At the same time, I am happy that I read this...I want to be grateful.
Switching gears....
A Facebook Friend posted this, and it's pretty cool. Ok, so not everything is completely correct; but isn't the church just great?!?

Gym or No Gym???!?!
So I am thinking about joining a gym! Ok, it's only out of necessity. Since moving, I no longer have an apartment gym to exercise at or nice sidewalks to go run on (or a safe place to run after dark...because that's the only time I'm home...at dark...) I pretty much have two options, (ok three options, but my work gym is OUT OF THE QUESTION...I'm not going to get all sweaty in front of co-workers...nope...not going to) LA Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness. Now to make the decision, I'm sick of making those...decisions....
This was a pretty exciting blog post, I know.

November!
November has been an incredibly busy month, and now it is almost over!
It started out with me moving to a new place. I have roommates now! AND I live with a dog! Please stop your hysterical laughter. I like dogs, ok not really, ok not at all. I am definitely learning and definitely saving a TON of cash by doing this.
A few days after I moved, I took my fourth Actuarial Exam. Holy Smokes I was so stressed out. I get my results mid-January. I hope I passed!!!!! These will end someday, right? Oh dear, I certainly hope so....
A few days after my exam, I jetted off to Colorado to visit my family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I went shopping with my Mom and chilled with the fam a lot. We played some games, and ate a ton....It was a glorious break from work.
SOOOOOO busy, but that is all I have to write. Peace out.

Tragedy
Ok people, so I know I normally write about things that probably don't matter much on this blog. Sometimes (always) I am a bit goofy, but hey, that's me. Now, it is time to write about something more serious, something close to my heart.
Please let me begin with a little background....
When I was born, my dear mother made me a little receiving blanket (By the way, my mom is awesome at making quilts. She even had a quilting business for a few years. Just thought I'd take a moment to brag about her, just so you know.). This little blanket was made out of tricot fabric (I had to look up how to spell tricot; definitely not said how it is spelled!). I LOVED IT! I was not a baby who was attached to a blankie and had to take it everywhere, but I definitely loved to sleep with it and play on it. (Ok, that may be a lie. I can't quite remember this time in my life, so I am going to say that because I am pretty sure that is how it went down.)
Fast forward a few years. I grew, and my blanket did not. I was two or three years old (can't quite remember my age). So for Christmas, Santa Claus brought me a brand new blanket, lovingly known as my silkie (This describes how the blanket felt just in case you are not familiar with tricot fabric.). I remember getting this as a gift and diving into it the moment I opened the box. It was SO BIG!!! Ok, it was made to fit on a twin size bed, but Jonathan (my older brother) had to carry it up the stairs for me because it was SOOO heavy. I remember the exertion required to heft that baby around.
Fast forward a few more years. I am 24. 24! Since when did I get old??? And I have slept with that blanket every night since then. This blanket moved from Idaho to Colorado, back and forth to Utah while I was in college, and then made its way to Dallas with me now. I even took it on trips with me if there was room. :) But to finally get to the point of my story, my blanket is now dying. The batting in the blanket has nearly disappeared. You can see through the blanket. What is left of the batting is leaking out of the seams that are now ripped. I have been finding little pieces of batting around my apartment. This death is eminent and quickly approaching.
I don't know if I should be embarrassed about this picture or not, but I do think it's quite funny. I promise I did not pull any of this batting in any way.
I've been looking at the other blankets around my apartment; there will never be a replacement. What am I going to do? I don't really like blankets because they are too hot. Maybe I'll start sleeping under my sheets?
I can see why Michael Jackson named his son Blanket; so precious. (Ok, I am really just kidding here.)
Anyways....
Thank you for taking the time to mourn with me as I lament the loss of my dear blanket.
Ok, I'm done being dramatic. I really will live.

Hey There!
Well folks, I know it has been a while. Hey, I have been busy, and so have you...so it works out...right? :)
Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, there is not much to update on my life. I have been pretty occupied working, studying, and trying to be do better at my calling at church. As part of continuing education post-college, I am taking actuarial exams! Oh yeah, baby! Ok, so if I had the choice, I wouldn't make myself sick over them if I didn't have to, but such is life and I do see some benefits from taking them. I am having to develop more discipline. I have to choose between what I want to do and what I need to do all the time. And let me tell you, I want to pass these bad boys badly! The exam I am currently studying for is MFE, and I take it November 15th. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This weekend I had the opportunity to listen to General Conference. It is always so refreshing and uplifting. I love it. If you would like to know more about General Conference and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, please click here. Last year during the October General Conference, I missed the last session to fly out to Dallas to interview for this one job. CRAZY how many things have changed in my life over the past year. It has been kind of cool to reflect upon those things this weekend.
Sorry for the boring post; I must just be a boring person....KIDDING...only kidding, my friends. sheesh. ;)

It's Too Hot!!!
Announcing the newest edition to my apartamento! I am in love....sigh....
I even carried this baby up the stairs all by myself. Oh boy, it was heavy. I almost didn't make it, but I think it was my excitement that got it up the stairs. Today, a lot of muscles hurt that I didn't know helped in carrying large, heavy objects up stairs. :) Anyway, I have been thinking about this for a while. I've known I was going to buy one, and the money was all set aside (thank you MLC!). So I was sitting at work on Saturday waiting for IT to fix some code problems, and I thought to myself...I should check out pianos on the internet since I am just waiting. A friend told me about a certain store that sells digital pianos...so I went to their website. There was one that I liked so I looked up where they were in Dallas...I drove straight to the store after work and....BAM...10 minutes later I bought a piano....done....kind of impulsive for a girl like me...I mean...I am an actuary...I don't do things like this :)
So happy I did though. :)
In other news, my life has definitely been exciting and fun lately...but you're going to have to ask me about it and not read about it on my blog. :)
bahaha.
